2026 Term 1 Timetable

At BWDance, we place a strong emphasis on classical ballet, the foundation upon which most other dance styles are built. Ballet training fosters essential qualities such as musicality, control, alignment, placement, balance, and grace—skills that benefit dancers across all genres.

We proudly follow the Royal Academy of Dance (R.A.D) syllabus, an internationally respected examination and training system that has set the standard for classical ballet since 1920.

Fairytale Ballet (ages 2.5 -5 years)
Our Fairytale  ballet classes are designed especially for young boys and girls and follow the R.A.D. ‘Dance to Your Own Tune’ syllabus. These imaginative, themed classes encourage creativity, confidence, and self-expression. With the use of props, dress-ups, and musical instruments, children develop a love for dance in a nurturing and playful environment following a different Fairytale theme each week -themes include Mermaids and Pirates, Superheroes, The Snow Queen, Cinderella and many other well known favourites.

Graded/Vocational  R.A.D. Ballet Classes
For older students, we offer graded R.A.D. ballet classes, suitable for those dancing for fun as well as those aiming to undertake examinations and pursue more intensive ballet training. We also provide extension classes for students seeking additional challenges and skill development.

As ballet is the cornerstone of all dance styles, we offer a special half-price discount on second and subsequent ballet classes (excluding the pre-pointe/pointe class), making it easier for students to deepen their training and passion.

 Get ready to move beyond the basics with our high-energy contemporary dance classes! Inspired by the style of the Sydney Dance Company, this class mixes technique, creativity, and self-expression. From powerful and dramatic to smooth and flowing, you'll explore new ways to move and bring your emotions to life through dance. Perfect for students who want to stand out, get creative, and dance with freedom. 

Fun, fresh, and full of attitude — our Hip Hop classes bring the energy of street dance into a supportive, age-appropriate environment. Dancers will explore rhythmic movement, musicality, and freestyle basics, all set to upbeat, current music. With a mix of smooth grooves and sharp combos, this class is perfect for students  who want to move with confidence, style, and swag — no experience needed!

 Jazz is a high-energy, dynamic style known for its sharp lines, strong technique, and powerful stage presence. Rooted in traditional jazz foundations, our classes focus on kicks, turns, leaps, isolations, and rhythm, giving dancers the tools to build strength, flexibility, and performance skills. While jazz has many exciting offshoots—like funk, cabaret, and musical theatre styles—our classes focus on the core techniques that form the base of all jazz dance. It’s bold, fun, and full of personality!

Lyrical is a soft and expressive style that mixes the grace of ballet with flowing, fun movements to tell a story through dance. Dancers learn to move with the music’s mood and lyrics, using their bodies to show feelings and emotions. With a touch of gentle gymnastics and floor work, lyrical helps young dancers build confidence, coordination, and their own unique style — it's no wonder it’s one of our most loved classes!

Love to perform? Our Musical Theatre classes are all about combining dance, acting, and storytelling to bring big stage numbers to life! Tweens get to explore fun characters, build acting skills, and learn how to express emotions through movement. Set to hit songs from musicals like Wicked , The Lion King, Annie plus more it’s the perfect class for anyone who loves the spotlight and wants to shine on stage!
